about

A song written a long time ago now, reflecting on the latter half of my teenage years full of chaos and confusion, going through stuff and not really having time to think properly. The lyrics are mostly about self-medicating, trying to instantly feel better for a transient moment and then reeling from that for years to come.

lyrics

Wait for your brain to catch up
The feelings fall behind the train
A weight of heavy well rounded stone
is thrown into a lake
Oh thats where your brain will bathe,
Oh well this wave washes over my mind,
and I'll find whatever's left behind,
Take all that you can
To give yourself a hand
Oh well you can
incapacitate yourself
Destroy your mental health.
Oh well this wave washes over my mind
and I'll find whatever's left behind
