about

A song about displacement, written in winter a couple of years ago.
Written inspired by floating through the universe and through time bouncing off events and other humans, never really knowing where you should be or what you should be doing anyway.
Partially written while being out in New York March 2020.

Artwork by Henry Carlyle.

lyrics

A Plane flies across my ceiling
Heading somewhere hot,
Stuck in Perpetual motion with no direction.
Touch the grounds terminal
Stop the feeling of moving on
The Ground
Turned out from the inside by the wind
I've been moved across the globe
and I can't find a home
Displacement has got me feeling distant
I'm on an unfamiliar road
I'm on an unfamiliar road
Touch the grounds terminal
Stop the feeling of moving on
The Ground

I can't find out for the life of me where I'm supposed to be.
